- Introduction of Emam Reza Educational and Treatment Center
Emam Reza Educational and Treatment Center was founded by the Islamic Azad University of Ardabil Branch besides the buildings of the university located at Basij Square, the beginning of Hafez street after obtaining the formal principled consent from the related organizations. The center was founded on a land with the total area of 17526 square meters. The constructions and buildings of the center comprise 11854 square meters of the total area. The construction projects of the center were completed in 1392. In Tir of 1396, by signing a memorandum of understanding, the management of the center was delegated to ARUMS for 10 years so that this university can fully set up the different units and departments of the center and make them ready to be used for providing services to patients. Following the agreement with the university, the center officially began offering services from Ordibehesht of 1397. Presently, all of the units and departments of the hospital including the inpatient wards, specialty and super specialty clinics, the para-clinics unit, pharmacology, and the emergency rooms have been fully equipped and offer services to patients. The capacity of this hospital is 108 normal and special beds. The center includes 4 inpatient surgery departments, 2 ICU departments (with 12 special beds), 2 operating room departments (with the capacity of 6 beds), a radiology unit, a medical laboratory, and also a clinic that offers services to patients both in the morning and in the afternoon.
Besides all these, the center also offers educational services for the students of medicine, nursery, and paramedicine. It also provides a wide range of surgical treatment services including urology surgery, optic surgery, surgeries related to ear, nose, and throat, skin surgery, and general surgery for the patients who need them.
